Dr. Makeda Ansah is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Revivalist Media, Advocacy & Consulting LLC, a faith-centered communications and leadership firm dedicated to amplifying truth, restoring accountability, and advancing transformational change within individuals, communities and organizations.

A preacher, teacher of the gospel, chaplain, author, and media producer, Dr. Ansah holds a Doctor of Ministry in Urban Ministry, M.Div in Chaplaincy, Th.M in Homiletics, and a Certified Life Coach and Relationship Facilitator; with over two decades serving as a spiritual advisor, educator, nurse, and advocate for marginalized communities. Her work integrates theology, storytelling, and strategic consulting to help leaders communicate with clarity, build ethical culture, and uplift underserved voices.

Drawing from her lived experience—from foster care to motherhood to ministry—Dr. Ansah equips ministries, nonprofits, and thought leaders to share their message with integrity and impact. She is and Author, and the visionary voice behind multiple teaching platforms, including The Matriarchs Rising, and a trusted "Soul Revivalist," committed to healing the narratives shaping families and society.

At Revivalist Media, Advocacy & Consulting, Dr. Ansah provides media development, ministry coaching, ministry formation, and faith-based consulting to help leaders walk in purpose, build with excellence, and speak with conviction.

Despite descending from a lineage of strong, warrior-hearted women from Benin (formerly Dahomey) and a matrilineal line of Akan women from Ghana, and being born in the Caribbean on the indigenous island of Ay Ay also know as St. Croix, a U.S. territory, my deepest hurt was the pain of growing up without a father to love, protect, teach, and cherish me as his daughter—nor to show me how to receive love in return.

Because of this unhealed wound, I searched for that missing love in men who mirrored the emotional, physical, and spiritual unavailability of my absent father. Without even realizing it, I embarked on a path of self-destruction—trying to fill a void no human could satisfy.

Until… the Lord found me in the home of a godly woman—my dear foster mother Irena Adina Thomas Francis. There, the Lord began a work of alignment, and restoration within me, leading soul into healing and revival through knowledge, forgiveness, reclaiming my true identity, and spiritual growth in Him.

Now, I carry more than memories—I carry a mission. These once-broken moments have become transformational stories for men and women like myself, especially those shaped by foster care, abusive homes, and societal marginalization—those who have felt unseen, objectified, misused, disrespected, unprotected, or taken for granted.

The truth must unfold, even when it feels embarrassing, because children deserve honesty, accountability, and apology. They need to hear, “I’m sorry.” They need to know that forgiveness is the pathway to healing, not silence.

Knowing that God forgave my sins through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, I made the courageous choice to forgive myself for the harm caused by my pain, trauma, and disobedience. As I released guilt, shame, abandonment, and neglect into God’s hands, I began to feel the burdens of life lift away.

This is the miracle of restoration: when forgiveness meets faith, healing begins within.
